Who knew?

This was one of Max's favorite toys. He had at least four of them. Each time that he'd chew it up or rip the head off, I'd buy another one with the intentions of sewing the wounded one back together. And then I became obsessed with "the frog" too. I bought one and kept it in my car. It was like having a mutual friend.

Now that Max is in heaven, the frog has comforted me beyond words. I talk to it, hold it and even sleep with it. Yes, I'm 46 years old and I sleep with a little green frog. Who knew that something so small would bring me such huge comfort once my baby passed on? Just seeing him makes my heart happy and reminds me of the little pleasures in life that we oftentimes take for granted. Who's the little green frog in your life?
